Add
Use [Add] to perform registration when registering a camera that is not on the same network.
Search
Use [Search] to perform registration when registering a camera that is on the same network.
2.
Set the parameters.
With [Add]
I.
Click [Add] (Camera).
II.
Configure the settings in the [Camera Settings] page.
Camera Settings Page
Setting
Description
Camera ID
Automatically sets the serial number.
Camera Name
Enter the camera name. (Maximum 250 characters)
To display the name of the camera on the multi-monitoring window, select the [Camera Name] check box under [Multi-Monitoring] in [Preferences]. (→ 3.1.2 Multi-Monitoring Page Settings)
Comment
Enter information such as the location in order to distinguish the camera from other cameras. (Maximum 128 characters)
A comment does not have to be entered.
Camera Address
Enter the IP address (or the domain name) of the camera to be registered. (Up to 256 alphanumeric characters)
You must input the camera address.
IPv6 address settings are displayed in eight groups of four hexadecimal digits, where each group is set off with [:]. Continuous numerical zeros [0] can be abbreviated and displayed as [::].
To distinguish IPv4 addresses, set these in brackets [  ].
Example: [2001:2:3:4::5]
Connections to cameras which support SSL (SSL connection) can be made with [https://camera address]. When connecting the camera through https, set HTTPS setting of the camera to Use HTTPS.
Port
Enter the port number of the camera to be registered. (1 to 65535 numeric characters.)
You must enter the port number. The default is 80.
User Name/Password
If the camera has security settings enabled (authentication setting), enter the administrator user name and password for the camera. (Enter the alphanumeric characters. 4 to 32 characters.)
If you set a general or unregistered user name and password, this software may not work properly.
Password are encrypted when saved.
Only Basic authentication can be used as an authentication method. Digest authentication is not supported.
Proxy
If the camera uses a proxy server, select [Used]. (Cameras that are registered using an IPv6 address cannot be used with a proxy server.)
Set up the proxy server before using a proxy. (→ 1.5.2 Setting a Proxy Server)
Destination Folder
Specify the recorded image's destination folder for individual cameras.
Click [Browse] and designate the destination folder when changing the destination.
Due to the operating system specifications (UAC: User Account Control) of Windows Vista and Windows 7, when [Program Files] of the start-up drive is specified in the destination folder, recorded images are automatically saved in separate folders. When this software is installed to C:\Program Files\Panasonic\NCR4 in Windows Vista and Windows 7, folders are saved to: C:\User\(user name)\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Panasonic\Ncr4\ncrdata. Do not directly set the [AppData] folder as the destination folder.
Video Channel Settings
After executing [Check the Camera Function], [Video Channel Settings] is only displayed when network video encoders, or 360° network cameras that have image capture mode set to quad streams are recognized.
In the [Video Channel Settings] you can select which video channel is used.
Note
The default camera name is [New Camera], followed by a number.
The number is generated automatically. Default values are used for the other settings.
With [Search]
I.
Click [Search] (Camera).
Searches for and displays a list of cameras on the same network.
IPv4/IPv6
Switches the IP address displayed.
Refresh
Displays the most recent connection status.
Note
WV series cameras and some BL series network cameras that have been connected to a power outlet for more than 20 minutes cannot be searched for. To search for WV series network cameras and some BL series network cameras, disconnect and then reconnect them to the power outlet.
Camera names of some models of WV series network cameras and some BL series network cameras are not displayed in the camera search list. The first 2 digits of the model number (WV-) are also not displayed. (→ Search for Cameras)
When IPv6 address are displayed, cameras that cannot be connected with IPv6 addresses are not displayed in the camera search list.
The camera search feature cannot be used with Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008, or Windows Server 2012.
II.
Select the camera to be registered and click [OK].
Camera information is displayed on the [Camera Settings] page.
If the camera has security settings enabled (authentication setting), enter the administrator user name and password for the camera.
3.
Click [Execute] under [Check the Camera Function].
[(check completed)] is displayed after this has been confirmed, and the corresponding feature of that camera is displayed (sound, resolution information, zoom, pan/tilt, sound detection, shock detection, preset sequence, color night view (Adaptive black stretch), etc.).
The software will connect to the camera and confirm the resolution and data format.
Setting values that cannot be set will be automatically changed. The icons of items that have been changed will be so indicated with a mark. (→ Setting Change Icon Display)
When registering a camera connected by SSL, confirmation may take several minutes.
If you cannot access the camera, the following windows are displayed.
Confirm the camera's connection, IP address, port number, user name and password.
Connection error window
4.
To automatically perform connection confirmations, select [Automatic Execution every 10 minutes].
Connections with the camera are periodically checked (every 10 minutes).
Results of the connection confirmation can be checked in the log. (→ Executing log analysis)
5.
Click [OK] or [Apply].
If you click [OK], the settings page will close. If you want to register another camera, click [Apply].

Note
See [OK] Button, [Cancel] Button, [Apply] Button, [Help] Button for details on the [OK], [Apply], and [Cancel] buttons.
When changes are made to the camera settings (e.g., changing the maximum image size or the sending format), perform [Execute] for the [Check the Camera Function] again in order to obtain the latest settings information.
The camera information can be imported and exported. (→ 3.4.2 Importing/Exporting the Camera Information)
Monitoring stops while the settings page is displayed.
Depending on the proxy server, there are cases when error messages are not displayed.
In this case, the image on the camera displays [Connecting...]. (→ Background Colors for Cameras with Errors)
When [Check the Camera Function] is performed on registered WV series network cameras and some BL series network cameras, some settings on the camera will be changed. For details see 4.2 Network Camera Setting Values.
For WV series network cameras and some BL series network cameras, image settings configured to this software change the image settings configured to cameras.
If a WV series network cameras and some BL series network cameras are registered to multiple copies of this software, configure the images settings of all the copies of this software to the same value. If different setting values are configured to this software, the image setting changes to the various copies of this software will change the camera settings, and cause the multi-monitoring and recording to stop functioning correctly.
Although 64 cameras can be registered to this software, the number of cameras that can record at the same time differs depending on factors such as the resolution and frame rate used, and the specifications of your computer. See 5.1 Specifications for details.
