2.8 Playing back saved recording data on another computer
This function is installed in Ver. 4.05 or a later version of this program.
(If your current version is older, you can use this function by updating to Ver. 4.05 or later versions of this program.)
One hard disk drive connected by USB is required as the save file destination.
Although the steps of changing computers are the same as previously explained, please do not select the same folder as your save file destination for PC-A and PC-B this time.
Also, please only use the hard disk to playback images on PC-B, and not to add any new images to the hard disk.
Diagram
Prepare two computers with Ver. 4.05 or later of this program installed.
A license for this program is required for both computers.
PC-A: Computer used for recording images
PC-B: Computer used for playing back images
Save file destination of PC-A: Use an external USB hard disk, assigned to the E drive (E:\ncrdata)
Save file destination of PC-B: Use an external USB hard disk, assigned to the E drive (E:\ncrdata)
Operating procedure of PC-A
1.
Record using PC-A
* Recordings will be saved to the save file destination hard disk
2.
Close this program (→ 1.2.3 Closing This Software)
3.
Disconnect the save file destination hard disk of PC-A and connect it to PC-B
Operating procedure of PC-B
1.
Start up this program
2.
Playback on PC-B (→ 2.6 Playing Recorded Images)
* Select any folder in the search condition folder of the search window, specify F:\ncrdata, search and playback.
Note
Only remove the hard disk after you have closed this program.
Please use Ver. 4.05 or a later version on PC-A and PC-B.
Please don’t select the hard disk you moved to PC-B as your save file destination or save recordings on it. Doing so will cause it to become unable to playback images when you reconnect the hard disk with PC-A.
If the save destination for PC-B is the hard disk of the E drive, and the hard disk is removed when connecting to PC-A, then the save destination will become that same E drive. Connect to the hard disk moved from PC-A without disconnecting the hard disk that is used as the save destination for PC-B.
