14.1 Configure the settings relating to cropping [Cropping]
Click the [Cropping] tab on the “Advanced view” page. (→9.1 How to display the setup menu, 9.2 How to operate the setup menu)
Settings related to cropping can be configured on this page.
Cropping area setting
Full image display
Displays the full camera angle image.
Cropping outline
Displays the set cropping area. Up to 4 areas can be set. When set, numbers are automatically assigned and displayed on the top left of the cropping area.
The cropping outline position can be moved by clicking and holding the configured frame and then moving it.
Clicking on the outside of the outline adds a new outline.
Streams that are configured in cropping use the same cropping area as the [Cropping] display. Therefore, if the cropping outline is changed, the cropping area of streams configured in cropping are changed according to the settings of the cropping outline.
[Cropping]
Either one of JPEG(1), JPEG(2), JPEG(3), H.264(1), H.264(2), H.264(3), or H.264(4) images, or all H.264 images can be selected to be sent as cropping images.
The images capture size selected for JPEG(1)/JPEG(2)/JPEG(3)/H.264(1)/H.264(2)/H.264(3)/H.264(4) on the [JPEG/H.264] tab is used for the cropping image capture size.
Off: cropping images are not transmitted.
H.264(1): H.264(1) is transmitted as cropping images.
H.264(2): H.264(2) is transmitted as cropping images.
H.264(3): H.264(3) is transmitted as cropping images.
H.264(4): H.264(4) is transmitted as cropping images.
H.264(all): H.264(1), H.264(2), H.264(3), and H.264(4) are transmitted as cropping images.
JPEG(1): JPEG(1) is transmitted as cropping images.
JPEG(2): JPEG(2) is transmitted as cropping images.
JPEG(3): JPEG(3) is transmitted as cropping images.
Default: Off
Note
Changing the cropping settings temporarily stops transmission.
When “Off” is selected for “H.264 transmission”, cropping settings are not available for H.264(1), H.264(2), H.264(3), and H.264(4).
When the maximum image capture size is selected for H.264(1), H.264(2), or JPEG(1), cropping settings are not available.
[Area]
When selecting a cropping area in the screen, it will be numbered as area 1.
[Status]
Select “On” or “Off” to determine whether or not to use the cropping area.
On: The cropping area will be set.
Off: The cropping area will not be set.
Default: Off
[Delete] button
Click the [Delete] button corresponding to the area to be deleted. The outline of the selected area will be deleted.
[Alarm action]
Determine whether to transfer cropping images when an alarm occurs. Transferring cropping images is available only when a setting other than “H.264(all)” is selected for “Cropping”.

Default: Off
[Home area]
Configure the area for cropping transmission when an alarm occurs.
1/2/3/4
Default: 1
[Self return time]
Configure how long cropping images are transmitted for when an alarm occurs. When the set time has passed, cropping images stop being transmitted and the camera starts transmitting full-screen images. Available only when “On” is selected for “Alarm action”.
10s/20s/30s/1min/2min/3min/5min
Default: 30s
[Sequence]
Using a maximum of 4 cropping outlines, determine whether or not to operate the sequence from the following settings. The sequence operates in the order of the numbers assigned to the cropping outlines. Available only when “Off” is selected for “Alarm action”.
Off/5s/10s/20s/30s
Default: Off
[Set] button
Applies the cropping, camera action on alarm, home area, self return time, and sequence settings.
IMPORTANT
The cropping outline may move out of alignment when the “Image capture mode” setting is changed. Make sure to check the cropping outline after changing the “Image capture mode” setting.
The cropping outline may move out of alignment when the “Extra optical zoom” setting is changed. Make sure to check the cropping outline after changing settings for “Extra optical zoom”.
The alignment of the cropping outline displayed during configuration might be slightly changed after the [Set] button is clicked.
“Alarm action”, “Home area”, “Self return time”, and “Sequence” are unavailable when “H.264(all)” is selected for “Cropping”.
